The Stanley Cup Playoffs are racing by. The Conference Finals are nearing an end and the seven game battle for Lord Stanley is about to begin. Brad Burud and Blake Friars talk Conference Finals, and continue to be shocked by the success of the Dallas Stars. Then it is time to talk trade rumors…there are tons of rumors flying around and we love to discuss them. It might be our favorite thing to talk about. Predictions used to be our favorite but then we realized we sucked at them… Another factor raising havoc around the league is the money crunch teams are facing due to the COVID-19 shutdown. How will teams manage salaries? Will UFA’s get paid less? How will teams manage the cap? and of course we wrap with another entertaining edition of 3 questions…Enjoy the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Bigger Lightning Flex their Playoff Muscles

The Tampa Bay Lightning added some size to their roster that had an amazing year last year but exited the playoffs in just four games.  That size upgrade is paying dividends thus far in this years Stanley Cup Playoffs.  Tampa Bay is the hottest team winning seven of their last ten games.  Dallas is fighting to keep pace winning six of their past ten games.  Although only four teams remain there are some teams that are really on the move up such as Colorado, Vancouver and Edmonton.  There is also a few on the down turn such as the Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators and the Arizona Coyotes.

The NHL continues their race to the Stanley Cup. Brad Burud and Blake Friars put a wrap on Round 2 of the playoffs and blast into Conference Finals talk. They will give their thoughts on the two series, breakdown the key players and give their predictions. Then it is time to talk Vancouver Canucks. After a great playoff run and the emergence of Thatcher Demko what will happen in Vancouver. Will Markstrom be resigned or is three great games enough to impress Canucks management that Demko is their man. With cap issues and an expansion draft looming some difficult decisions lie ahead in Vancouver. Who will the next coach be in Washington and has Arizona lost their mind. Pierre McGuire??? Really? We wrap with a great listener question about the Stanley Cup draught in Canada.
