It is time for the start of the 2016-2017 NHL regular season. The odds makers in Las Vegas have updated their Stanley Cup lines and it is now time to place your bets. Put your money down! Here are my picks…
The Sure Bets:
Tampa Bay Lightning – Solid pick at 15/2
Washington Capitals – Its time for the Capitals to come through.
Dallas Stars – Goaltending is the only question mark.
The Value Lines:
St. Louis Blues – Solid team – Solid value at 30/1
Florida Panthers – Team on the rise.
San Jose Sharks – Proved us all wrong last season.
The Don’t Touch Lines:
New York Rangers – 20/1 for a very unproven team.
Los Angeles Kings – 16/1 on a aging team on the downswing.
Edmonton Oilers – 26/1 add another 0 after the 6 – past tells you all you need to know.
The Longshot Takers:
Calgary Flames – 70/1 is a value for a strong young team.
Winnipeg Jets – 85/1 is a steal for the young talent this team has. They will surprise.
Boston Bruins – The Bruins will bounce back and 35/1 is not a bad risk.
