Bryan Trottier played eighteen season in the National Hockey League. Over that period of time he gathered numerous NHL records. He will always be remembered as a New York Islander. His number 19 hangs from the rafters at the Nassau Coliseum. The lefty also spent the later part of his career playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins. His career started in 1975 and concluded in 1994. His career was honored in 1997 as he was selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The small shifty forward compiled numerous records over his career. In 1978 he scored the most points (6) in a single regular season period. This took place in a 9-4 win over their arch rival New York Rangers. If that record was not impressive enough he also holds the NHL record for longest consecutive point-scoring streak in the playoffs with 27 games. He compiled this unbelievable feat from 1980 to 1982. Along with this he holds the longest single season playoff scoring streak of 18 games during the 1981 playoffs. He is one of six NHL players that has ever won a Stanley Cup with two or more teams. He won a total of six Stanley Cups over his career.
Bryan Trottier will always be remembered as one of the National Hockey League greats. After his playing career he spent a short time coaching. He was the head coach of the New York Rangers for one season, and was an assistant in Colorado for four season. Trottier will always be remembered for his gritty play and knack for scoring. He has raised the Stanley Cup an amazing six times.
