The much-anticipated Mens Olympic Hockey looks to be another classic.  This looks as if it will be the final Olympics for NHL hockey players, and the battles will be fierce.  Russia is under huge pressure to win gold.  Many Olympic experts have said that the Olympics will only be a success for the entire country of Russia, if the Mens hockey team wins gold.  Without that gold medal the Olympics will be thought of as failure.  The tournament will feature twelve team,s with six or seven of them being thought of as contenders.  With the gap between the top five teams being a very fine line.  This tournament will be up for grabs, but the Canadians and Russians look to be the favorites.  I look for Evgeni Malkin of Russia to take charge, and win the most valuable player award.  It will be a classic, and very entertaining.

The women’s competition boils down to two teams.  The United States and Canada have been battling all year in pre-Olympic games.  The tempers have been high, and the games have been one goal games.  Lets face it these teams hate each other.  This will most likely be an epic battle for gold.  The women’s division has slowly gotten tighter amongst the teams, but the US and Canada still have a distinct talent advantage.
