OILERS’ NURSE SUSPENDED THREE GAMES
FOR VIOLATING RULE 46.2 (AGGRESSOR)
Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse has been suspended for three games, without pay, for violating Rule 46.2 (Aggressor) during an altercation with San Jose Sharks defenseman Roman Polak during NHL Game No. 1000 in Edmonton on Tuesday, March 8, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 18:20 of the third period. Nurse was assessed a minor penalty for roughing and major penalty for fighting.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Nurse will forfeit $13,924.74. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
