#MYPLAYOFFSMOMENT PRESENTED BY GOPRO TO SHARE FAN-PERSPECTIVE VIDEO STORIES THROUGHOUT THE 2015 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS
NHL Invites Fans to Share Stanley Cup Playoffs Videos Using #MyPlayoffsMoment
Submissions Aggregated into Unique Videos and Shared Worldwide Across
NHL Social Media Platforms and Broadcast Nationally Across the U.S. and Canada
On its social and digital platforms, the National Hockey League is inviting fans from around the world to submit their unique videos to the NHL Social™ team using the official hashtag #MyPlayoffsMoment as they watch — and capture — the most riveting moments of the 2015 Stanley Cup® Playoffs and 2015 Stanley Cup® Final. Fans also will have the chance to watch their favorite moments included in a match-up preview video broadcast nationally.
The #MyPlayoffsMoment presented by GoPro campaign encourages fans worldwide to share their fandom and how they are experiencing each game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs: live at a sold out arena with thousands of fans; at home in front of their televisions and second screens; or at the bar with friends and rivals. Fans are encouraged to capture every moment using video captured with their GoPro, mobile, or tablet devices, and to submit this content through social media using the official hashtag #MyPlayoffsMoment.
“Millions of fans are engaging every day on all devices and across multiple platforms throughout each round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs,” said John Pacino, NHL Vice President, Product Development and Social Media. “Sometimes, the drama around each game this time of year is best captured by passionate fans who feel the same emotional highs and lows as their favorite teams and players. And the end result can be exciting, compelling, and refreshing content because it’s so authentic.”
A fan-driven compilation video will be created highlighting each upcoming series match-up using fan-submitted videos. These videos, which will feature the most riveting fan-perspective content on a team’s journey to the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, will be broadcast nationally on NBC and NBCSN in the U.S.; and on Sportsnet in Canada. NHL® Clubs also will share this content with fans in-arena and across social media platforms.
Content submitted by fans will be curated by the NHL Social™ team, edited into compilation videos, and shared back to the 10 million+ fans on the League’s social platforms: Twitter (@NHL), Facebook (Facebook.com/NHL), Instagram (@NHL), YouTube (YouTube.com/NHL), Tumblr (http://nhl.tumblr.com/), and Vine (Vine.co/NHL).
Fans can re-live every moment, and share their favorites across their social channels by visiting the central hub at NHL.com/MyPlayoffsMoment, which will house every video created throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Fans submitting content using the official hashtag #MyPlayoffsMoment are agreeing to the terms of the League’s social media policy (available here.)
