The National Hockey League celebrated the game of hockey on Saturday night with the NHL All-Star Skills Competition. The night was filled with laughs, and pure skill. Players and fans took a step back from the day-to-day grind of the NHL season to have a little fun and show off players individual skills. Hometown hero (Columbus Blue Jackets) Ryan Johansen pulled a kid out to help him win the Breakaway Challenge. Then Jakub Voracek used little Calgary Flames star Johnny Gaudreau to bring the fans to laughter.

One of the most entertaining events of the night was the Hardest Shot. As expected there were no surprises. Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber did not disappoint. Weber fired the second hardest shot of all time at 108.8 mph to win the competition.
