COYOTES’ HOLLAND FINED FOR PUNCHING UNSUSPECTING OPPONENT
Arizona Coyotes forward Peter Holland has been fined $3,611.11, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for punching an unsuspecting opponent, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ondrej Palat, during NHL Game No. 698 in Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 21, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 9:05 of the second period. Holland was assessed a minor penalty for roughing.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
