It happened in the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals, and it happened again tonight. As Calgary worked late in the game to avoid going down 3 games to 0 against the Anaheim Ducks it all happened. With six minutes to go in Game 3, with the score 3-2 Anaheim. Calgary rookie Sam Bennett drove the front of the net, and received a quick pass from David Jones. He fired the puck fast, and Anaheim goaltender Frederik Andersen looked to have made a game saving save. The officials ruled no goal and play continued. It was looked at by NHL officials in Toronto, and ruled a no goal.
Although it looked as though the puck crossed the line, officials in Toronto ruled that video was inconclusive. Well see for yourself ———

What is even more and more crazy was how eerily similar it was to the no goal in the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals. Martin Gelinas nearly won The Stanley Cup for the Calgary Flames with a deflection off his skate. But even though the puck appeared to cross the line late in the third period of Game 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, it wasn’t ruled a goal by on ice officials or those watching from above. It was even the same end of the rink and within seconds of the same time of game. Even crazier the ruling was the same.

My question is?? If the post cameras did not work, how about put one in the crossbar. Not above the crossbar?? Controversial plays like this determine the Stanley Cup, and right or wrong tonight the NHL must get it right.
