AVALANCHE’S LANDESKOG SUSPENDED THREE GAMES
FOR CROSS-CHECKING
Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog has been suspended for three games, without pay, for cross-checking Anaheim Ducks defenseman Simon Despres during NHL Game No. 1004 in Colorado on Wednesday, March 9, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 11:29 of the third period.

Landeskog is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective
Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $203,832.75.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
