Hockey players are not your normal athletes. Name one other sport where a player gets hit it the head with a slap shot and returns to the game. Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert blocked a slap shot from Nick Holden on Friday night. The Rangers defenseman let go a blaster from the point, and it hit Calvert right in the forehead. The damage was 36 stiches above the right eye of the Winnipeg native. That’s not the end of the story, Calvert returned to the game and scored the game winning goal! Only in hockey!
