The long hot summer continuers, but good news! NHL hockey will be back before you know it. More good news…there is actually some NHL news to talk about. Then we roll into the current progress in the NHL’s return to play plan. It is complex and there is a ton of speculation going on. Like who are the hub cities and does anyone really care? NHL Power Ranking – 2020 June 19 – NHL Pause

2020 – June 19

of the Philadelphia Flyers of the Boston Bruins on March 10, 2020 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The NHL is still on pause.  Which making predictions very complicated.  These rankings are based on trends heading into and during the NHL pause.  I did not add any statistics because after this time off they have become slightly irrelevant.  NHL camps are schedule to get back going on July 10th with the season to follow a few weeks after that.  A modified playoff format will be used (bracket below) which will include a qualifying round and a top team seeding round robin.  Games will be played at two hub cities.  I am excited to see how this playoff format plays out.
