ORDER OF PRESENTATION FOR 2016 NHL AWARDS
The National Hockey League announced today the order of the presentation for tonight’s 2016 NHL Awards. Hosted by actor and comedian Will Arnett and featuring a performance from rock band X Ambassadors, the 2016 NHL Awards will broadcast live from The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN in the U.S. and on Sportsnet in Canada.
The two-hour broadcast will honor the best players and performances of the 2015-16 season. These include the NHL’s regular-season statistics-based trophies won by Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, who will receive the Art Ross Trophy as the League’s scoring champion; Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin, who claimed his sixth career Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the League’s goal-scoring leader; and John Gibson of the Anaheim Ducks and Frederik Andersen, recently acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs, who will share the William M. Jennings Trophy as the goaltenders who played at least 25 games for their club and together allowed the fewest goals.
