It was a moment that Sam Tageson will never ever forget. I really don’t think San Jose Sharks fans, or NHL fans for that matter will ever forget what happened last night. The San Jose Sharks signed eighteen year old, long time Sharks fan to a one day contract.
Sounds like an odd thing to do. No way, this was quite possibly the best hockey story that I can remember. Sam Tageson has had a heart complication since he was an infant. Through all these complications, he always focused on his beloved San Jose Sharks.
His long-time dream was to be a Sharks player. On Tuesday night the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Shark Foundation made his dream come true.

Tageson was signed to a one day contract. He got to practice with the team. Sam also skated out the Shark head onto ice with the team. He stood on the ice during the national anthem and player introductions. Sam was overcome with emotion as he was introduced to the crazy Sharks fans.
This was an amazing gesture, to an amazing Sharks fan. A day that Sam Tageson will never forget, it was just an amazing night. Thank you San Jose Sharks for making this happen.
