Online Charity Auction Begins Today With Proceeds to Benefit Ducks and Kings Charities
NEW YORK (January 30, 2014) – To commemorate the NHL’s first outdoor game in California held at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 25 in front of a sold out crowd of 54,099 festive fans, the NHL® will auction four autographed, custom-designed goalie masks featuring legendary rock band and 2014 Rock and Roll of Fame inductees KISS alongside the logos for the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ outdoor game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks. The masks were designed and hand painted by renowned sports artist David Arrigo.
The NHL Stadium Series outdoor game at iconic Dodger Stadium featured a performance from KISS. Each goalie mask is a tribute to KISS band members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer.
KISS and hockey fans around the world can bid on the first of four autographed, custom-designed goalie masks through February 7 at 10 p.m. ET. The second in the series of masks will be available for online bidding starting February 7 at 10 a.m. ET through February 17 at 10 p.m. ET. The 10-day bidding for the third mask will begin February 17 at 10 a.m. ET through February 27 at 10 p.m. ET. Fans will be able to bid on the fourth and final mask starting at 10 a.m. ET on February 27 through 10 p.m. ET on March 2.
Each winning bidder will receive a Certificate of Authenticity. To bid on the masks, fans worldwide can log on to http://auction.nhl.com.
Proceeds from each auction will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation and Kings Care Foundation.
