Boxing Day in Canada means that it is time to drop the puck on the World Junior Hockey Championships.  Each year the popularity of the tournament continues to grow.  This year the popularity looks like it will be taken to a level it has never been before.  Canada looks to win the championship on their home ice.

The NHL stars of tomorrow battle in the IIHF under 20 hockey tournament.  It is a great preview of the future stars of the NHL, and is often some of the most intense, and entertaining hockey action of the year.

Finland took home gold in 2014, and this year they are looking to spoil Canada’s home ice advantage.  The Championship’s will feature numerous NHL prospects, and highly anticipated draft eligible prospects Jack Eichel of the United States, and Connor McDavid of Canada.

The Championships will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, and the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Television coverage in Canada will be on TSN, and in America it will be on the NHL Network.
