The NHL Scouting Combine is just days away. The event will be held in Toronto from May 26-31. Many of the top players on the NHL Central Scouting’s list will attend the event.

This years event looks to be bigger than ever. It is expected that 119 players, with 101 of them from North America, will report for testing and interviews.

The Scouting Combine is divided into three stages. The first stage is the interview process. This will take all six days of the event. Each NHL team will have the opportunity to interview, and talk with each prospect that they have interest in. The second stage is the medical examinations of each player. This will take place on May 30th, and will be conducted in Toronto. The fitness portion will be the third stage. This will take place at the Toronto International Centre. The testing will be conducted by Dr. Norman Gledhill and staff. Players will participate in all stages of the event.

The selection process was slightly different this season. The top 75 players on the Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List were all invited. The remaining 45 players were selected by NHL team voting.

This will be the biggest NHL Scouting Combine ever.
