Jets forward Patrik Laine scored his 40th goal of the season to extend his point streak to 11 games (15-6—21), a run that includes at least one goal in each of his last five outings.

Laine became the ninth different player in NHL history to reach the 40-goal mark in a season before celebrating his 20th birthday and just the third to do so in that last 32 years (since 1985-86), joining Rick Nash in 2003-04 (41 w/ CBJ) and Auston Matthews in 2016-17 (40 w/ TOR). Only two teenagers in NHL history have score more overall goals than Laine.
