The great website of Reddit have been conducting surveys with sports fans on what professional sports team that they hate the most. Although this is a far from scientific study, it is very interesting. They broke down the most hated teams and imposed the hated teams logo into the areas of the map that choose them as the most hated.

The map of the United States is very interesting. Detroit is hated through most of the upper Midwest, along with Chicago. Los Angeles has a lot of the west coast covered and Pittsburgh has a pretty good chunk. Montreal has the New England area covered, which is no surprise. Boston has the state of Washington covered which has many shaking their heads, but don’t forget the Bruins beat the Canucks in the Stanley Cup finals just three years ago, and many people in that area are Canucks fans. Anaheim has all of Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska covered which is a little surprise, but the Stars and Ducks have has some classic playoff battles. I have no idea why Alabama hates the Canucks. My only guess is that one person voted from Alabama and the Canucks were it. My same theory hold true for Wyoming hating the Ottawa Senators. Pretty funny.

As for Canada, it is pretty straightforward. BOSTON that’s all…. Can you say Milian Lucic, and Brad Marchand. Maybe Boston should take this as a compliment.  Vancouver did get the Alberta area, thanks to all the Flames and Oilers fans.

This was so fun to look at. Thanks for the great survey Reddit – helping us get through the long offseason. Reddit user KMHokies35 was the developer of these great maps.
