Canada celebrates the game that they are known for this Saturday. It is one of my favorite days of the year. Live on CBC starting at 12 pm est. The NHL and Canada’s hockey heritage takes centre stage. Live from Canada’s Border City of Lloydminster Alberta/Saskatchewan. The community and country celebrates the game we love with television features on numerous hockey stories. The headline of the day is three Canadian rival match-ups. Starting at 1:00 pm est the Edmonton Oilers visit the Winnipeg Jets. That is followed by the classic match-up at 6:00pm est which brings the Montreal Canadiens to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. The night is capped off at 9:00pm est with a west coast battle in Vancouver between the Canucks and Calgary Flames. A wonderful day of NHL hockey match-ups, and great hockey stories. Hockey Day in Canada always makes me remember why I love the game of hockey so much.
