Just when you think the Kings had the series strangle hold, and or the game score is safe, there goes Patrick Kane to change all of that! Kane proved his ability to succeed in the clutch once again on Friday night when he scored two goals and had an assist. After setting up the critical game tying goal, Mr. Clutch scored the game winner with 3:45 seconds to go in the third period.
The goal was an amazing one for Kane. He circled with the puck in the offensive zone, breaking free he fired a snap shot through traffic. The shot from the high-slot found its way through bodies and past goaltender Jonathan Quick. The goal was his eighth of the playoffs and team leading 18th point of the playoffs.
Kane commented on the clutch goal by saying, “You try to take it upon yourself to try and step up in big situations. But we have a lot of guys that do that. I think with our team and the amount of great players that are on it. It seems like everyone has his or her time to step up and have the spotlight and be in that moment. There’s been numerous guys that have done it. When it’s your turn, it’s always fun to contribute.”

This will be the third straight series that the Kings have had to go on the road to win a game seven. They have succeeded in the first two, but will the third opportunity be impossible.
The winner take all Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals will take place on Sunday, June 1st at the United Center in Chicago. Will the Los Angeles Kings be able to save their 3-1 series lead that they once had, or will the Chicago Blackhawks be able to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals two years in a row.
